About Our
Intergenerational Program

Helping young people find their voice and agency through meaningful connection with older adults.

Our Intergenerational Program

Beyond the music, the bonds community members of all ages share have a lasting impact. While students enjoy performing for and engaging with older adults, they also receive wisdom and love to hear the memories their music brings back.

Are you a student interested in participating? Learn how to get involved here.

“When they’re singing about life and things like that, it hits me right in here. I’ve been around a while, and it’s… it really makes me review my life. I have so much faith in the kids today, so many kids who are artistic, sensitive, and caring. It looks good for the future, it really does.”

Ramon Couzon,
Resident of Goddard Riverside NORC

Meet Ramon

Ramon is a long-time intergenerational concert recipient. Over the years, he has supported countless student musicians on their journeys, and enjoyed the music that inspires them all.

Our community’s experiences:

“My favorite part of CiM is not only the beautiful music my peers and I get to create, but also the life stories many of the home recipients have shared with me. Although we are separated by many years in age and may not speak the same language, music is our common ground.”

— Safia S
Youth Performer

“We’re an oasis for students... Parents tell us they watch their children grow up before their eyes while they’re involved with us.”

— Jennifer Finn
Founder & Executive Director
